In a historic and defining moment for grassroots governance, the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has formally inaugurated the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisors, and Special Advisers, ushering in a new era of focused administration and transformative leadership.

The swearing-in ceremony, held on Friday at the Council Secretariat in Ejigbo, marked the official activation of a governance team poised to drive the administration’s development agenda with renewed vigour and strategic direction.
The Oath of Office, Oath of Secrecy, and Oath of Allegiance were administered by the Council’s Legal Team, led by Barr. Okoya Hakeem, in a proceeding that underscored the gravity of the moment and the weight of public trust reposed in the new appointees.
Addressing the newly inaugurated officials, Chairman TAT described their appointments not merely as positions of privilege, but as a solemn call to duty in the collective mission to deepen democracy and accelerate even development at the grassroots. He charged the team to demonstrate unwavering loyalty, foster seamless collaboration, and deliver measurable impact that directly touches the lives of Ejigbo residents.
“Today, we are not just filling offices. However, we are renewing a covenant with our people. You have been called to serve at a pivotal time, and the expectations are high. Let loyalty to our shared vision and diligence in service be your watchwords,” TAT stated.
In a groundbreaking development, the ceremony witnessed the swearing-in of Mrs. Yemisi Otuyemi as Secretary to the Local Government, making her the first female to occupy the exalted position in the history of Ejigbo LCDA.
